The passing years don’t make the loss any less painful. It’s been twelve years today and the memories of our time together are still as vivid as if they happened yesterday. I’m still doing my best to act big and live vicariously for you to enjoy this mortal life. Ride on my friend….

In reply to Sharee Jo. Sherry I love you and I'm so glad that your daddy was good to you and you were just to young to remember the things he was doing to me and austin. But I loved when you came over I would take care of you and you loved billy ray cyrus ache breaky heart you would swoon and cry like he was everything. I miss you and I hope things are going well for you. My mom and Austin have both passed away now but I have 2 amazing daughter's myself now they are 19 and 13 mylee and Isabella hope you will meet them one day.

Hey Ken. I just want to say that I miss you and that my life is so much richer for being your friend. I hope you’re looking out for me, like a guardian angel. I feel like I have to enjoy Earth’s carnal pleasures enough for the both of us (and I do try my friend). Today it’s been eleven years since you moved on, but you were such a presence in my life that the passage of time doesn’t really help make it easier to miss our friendship. I’m acting big and I hop you are too. Ride on.

In reply to Rick Dawson. I am Richard Holland, formerly of Bakersfield. I was friends with Ken since the age of 5. Since I left California in 2004, I did not know that he was dead. I hope he found the peace that he was looking for.

It always so bittersweet to read these words. You are so kind to write about dad where everyone can read it. It’s been 7 years today since he was taken from us. I miss him everyday and I still feel the pain of his loss like it was yesterday. I never knew you could miss a person so much. I am greatfull for the time I had with him but still angry to have lost him. I still haven’t been able to find an appropriate way to cope. Just wander around day to day existing. There’s so many things left to talk about and so many questions I never knew I even wanted to ask, and now it’s too late. I guess what I’m really trying to say is just thank you. For all the kind words and for taking the time to let everyone know the kind of person they missed out on. Bless you and your family. I hope we can get together soon. -Sharee Jo
